Key Experts Group received a 50% funding from the Bulgarian National Innovation Fund for the innovation project "On-line Event Calendar". The project was developed by the team of Key Experts Group integrating the significant joint experience of over 25 years in event management with the identified and analysed demands of the PR industry and the specific web development knowledge and skills needed in the strategic planning. Key Experts Group conducted the whole project for 6 months and released the Internet site
The project EVENTS.bg was subsidized as market-oriented applied research for a R&D project intended to be implemented in the industry. The project was recognized for its potential to increase in the competitiveness of the Bulgarian industry and the improvement of the capacity to cope with the competition in the EU market - only possible through creation, introduction and dissemination of innovations.
More specifically, the following objectives were achieved:
o Development of innovative flexible web-based software platform to collect detailed information for all important events in the economic and social life of Bulgaria in one Internet site and to make the direct link between the initiatives planned and the audiences they want to reach.
o Providing an innovation and efficient instrument for long-term strategic planning through the guaranteed quick and easy access to the richest on-line data base with events and event-related services and the opportunity for promotion own of events and initiatives

The project is the first in its kind attempt to systematise information for all significant events in Bulgaria and to provide a flexible communication platform for all organisation involved in event management and the different audiences.

EVENTS.bg is designed for on-going change according to the individual needs of the users and the commitment to personalized information products based on the on-line event calendar, precise search tool, data base and personal assistant for event planning and management
Key Experts Group employed the following array of services in the planning, conduction and management of the project:
o Trade Mark licensing and management
o Strategic and Operations planning including business plan and communication strategy development and implementation
o Technology and Innovation Management including development of the web-based software platform and on-going Technology Assessment based on the feedback information collected through on-line tailor-made tools; direct communication with potential and current users and customised research using qualitative (focus groups) and quantitative (survey) research methods
