Main objective of the project was involvement of the stakeholders in the development of the River Basin Management Plans through development and implementation of a stakeholder strategy and organization of meetings for stakeholders to comment on the drafts of the River Basin Management Plans thus ensuring the successful adoption of the plans prepared in accordance with the European Water Framework Directive and the Bulgarian Water Act.

The geographic coverage of the project span over the four river basin management regions in the country - West Aegean Sea River Basin, East Aegean Sea River Basin, Black Sea River Basin and Dunav River Basin.

Scope of activities required:
• Preparation of a strategy for stakeholders involvement and planning a series of stakeholder dialogue events on the River Basin Management Plans and the Programs of Measures;
• Preparation and execution of a national survey on the water management in the four river basin management regions;
• Organisation and execution of a series of stakeholder dialogue events on the River Basin Management Plans and the Programs of Measures.
